Elevate Church started as a church plant in January 2015 with 4 members. We primarily focused on doing community projects and events during our first year. On March 27, 2016, we officially launched our weekly worship services at the Seafarers Yacht Club (formerly the segregated school for Annapolis). After two years we have connected with more than 40 individuals in our community through worship gatherings and bible study groups.
We have built many partnerships with our local government, schools, and other non-profit organizations. We participate in the Backpack Buddies program for Eastport and Germantown Elementary schools. We provide volunteers for an afterschool program working with underserved students for Creating Communities. We partner with the Housing Authority for the City of Annapolis Youth Programs to provide sports camps and kids clubs for the summer.
In 2017, the City of Annapolis recognized Elevate Church for our community service by awarding us the Martha Wood Leadership Award, and Pastor Steve was nominated for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Award for community leadership.
We exist to elevate Jesus, equip believers, and engage our community.
We elevate Jesus through our worship gatherings and individual lives. We equip believers through an intentional training process, weekly messages by our pastor, and through hands-on ministry and missions. We engage our community through service projects such as sports camps, kid’s clubs, after school programs, trash pick-up, providing clothing and food, and many other oppertunities.
We believe in the Eastport community and our hope is that our actions and our work will create a real and lasting impact on our community.
